In the early 1990s, Dr. Marsha Linehan and her expert team founded Behavioral Tech, a DBT training institute to help professionals implement DBT treatments according to procedures and protocols with proven clinical effectiveness. DBT Intensive Training is the most crucial training course for professionals who are serious about learning and practicing DBT.
The DBT KOREA has been working with Behavioral Tech to host this essential DBT professional training course for a long time, and this year, it has been confirmed that the DBT Intensive Training will be held in Seoul for the first time.
For this year especially, Dr. Tony Dubose, the Chief Training Executive and the leading expert on DBT professional training as well as the core member of Marsha Linehan’s group, will be visiting Korea to lead the training.
Prior to the DBT Intensive Training scheduled for this October, DBT KOREA will be hosting a special open lecture with Dr. DuBose on May 13 at 9:00 a.m. In this special lecture, Dr. DuBose will provide an introduction to DBT treatment that has been implemented globally and give an in-depth lecture on the DBT Intensive Training course, followed by a Q&A session.

About Dr. Tony DuBose
Anthony P. DuBose, PsyD is Chief Training Executive at Behavioral Tech, LCC. Dr. DuBose received a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Pacific University of Oregon. He completed his predoctoral psychology internship at Western State Hospital in Lakewood, WA, and his residency requirements for psychology licensure as a postdoctoral fellow in clinical child psychology through the University of Washington’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
Dr. DuBose’s interest in DBT developed when working with hospitalized youth at high-risk for suicide and self-injurious behaviors. That initial interest, and the outcomes he observed when using DBT, resulted in a career focused on increasing the reach of DBT.As the head of training for Behavioral Tech, he has led a team of some of the world’s foremost experts in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) since 2011. He has trained and consulted with health care providers world-wide regarding the treatment of borderline personality disorder, substance use disorders, and suicidal and self-injurious behaviors in adults and adolescents and has been involved in large-scale systemwide DBT implementation projects in multiple countries and several US states.
He is a member of the International Dissemination and the Training Committees of the World Association for Dialectical Behavior Therapy (WDBTA), formed in 2021, and serves on the WDBTA transitional Board of Directors as its Treasurer. He collaborated with Marsha Linehan, Ph.D., ABPP, and other researchers on the study of DBT, particularly related to its dissemination and implementation.
